Fallout 4 - AER9 Laser Rifle

(High Poly) AER9 Laser Rifle from Fallout 4

This is a project I did for my 3D animation 2 class, the asset was modeled from various reference images and videos from the game Fallout 4. It was modeled and UV unwrapped inside of Maya 2019, textured in Substance Painter and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3.

This project was done as part of a sprint project, to see how far we could go when taking a concept from nothing to fully completed in about a weeks time. Because of this, I was unable to create the lowpoly mesh and pretty up the renders to my standard, but I do believe I met somewhere in the middle :)

This was an incredibly fun project! I highly recommend to all newcommer 3D artists, that you take something you really loved (Be it a game, movie or some other type of media you've enjoyed) and try to remake it yourself. It's excellent practice, I learned so much from this project alone. All original credit for the design goes to the wonderful artists at Bethesda!
